Rising UFC superstar heel Colby Covington made major waves when he called Brazil a dump filled with filthy animals after beating the brakes off Demian Maia a few weeks ago. Yesterday in Australia, he and former heavyweight champ Fabricio Werdum crossed paths and got into an altercation with a boomerang and a sucker punch. Colby later pressed charges against Werdum who has to stay in Australia now until his court hearing on December 13th. MMA insider Ariel Helwani just reported that Colby has been sent home. Check it out.
In light of yesterday’s incident with Fabricio Werdum in Sydney, UFC Sydney guest fighter Colby Covington is being sent home early, I’m told. He’ll be leaving Sydney later today.
